  2. Fertilizer with a slow release low nitrogen fertilizer twice a season.
  3. Water on a regular basis, at the base of the rose several times a week, or as needed. Several deep watering sessions per week are more beneficial than watering lightly each day.
  4. Dead-head spent flowers during the summer to promote new blooms.
  5. Selectively trim stray or crossing branches during the growing season, and in the spring, to promote better branching, increased air flow in the rose and for overall shape.
