Is it safe to order online?

Yes, actually it is more secure for you to place your order online than over the phone. When you place an order online, our secure shopping cart does not capture and retain your credit card information, rather your information remains with your bank. When you place an order over the phone we have to capture and process your credit card information manually.

When will you process my order?

We process your order immediately and charge your credit card at the time of processing. The items you ordered are then reserved just for you. We begin shipping our healthy plants once they have broken bud in the spring and show ample foliage growth. My credit was charged but my order has not shipped yet?

Due to our secure shopping cart, we must charge your credit card at the time that your order is placed,
rather than retain and hold your credit card information until your order ships. Our secure system processes the transaction in conjunction with your credit card company so that neither we or our staff ever have access to your credit card information. This secure shopping cart system helps to keep your personal bank information secure and safe.

I received part of my order:
Plants are a living product that is impacted by weather and other factors that are out of our control. Occasionally we may not be able to ship all items on an order due to crop failure, crop damage or the plant does not meet our quality standards for shipping. When this occurs a notation will be made on your invoice that you receive with your order and a store credit will be given. We reserve the right to ship partial orders.

Shipping Dates:
Our shipping dates displayed on our website and on our invoice are an estimate only. Plants are a living crop, issues such as weather and crop readiness may delay shipping dates. We try to accommodate shipping date requests whenever we can. Orders cancelled due to delayed shipping dates will receive a credit for the full amount to be used at a later time. Credits have no expiration date for use and cannot be redeemed for cash. All cancellation notices must be submitted via email to be valid. Thank you for your understanding and patronage.

What size are your plants shipped in:
Our plants are shipped as noted in each description either: bulb, 3.5” pot, 4" pot, nursery trade 1 gallon which is equal to 2.51 qt (liquid) (2.38 l), or #2 nursery trade 2 gallon sizes which is equal to 1.76 gal (liquid) (6.31 l). The denotation 'nursery trade' is a term which our Department of Agriculture requires in its best practices when specifying identification of a container size, and which vary from liquid sizes unless otherwise noted.

Do you guarantee your products?

Yes, we do guarantee our plants and products. Our plants are guaranteed to be true to genus, species and variety as described and to arrive at your location in healthy condition ready to be planted. We cannot be responsible for on-site cultural condition, losses caused by extreme weather, neglect, or inappropriate climate zone, homeowner care, and other local conditions affecting plant health or survival once they are planted in your garden.

Return Policy:
Nonperishable items such as garden gloves and fertilizer maybe returned for a store credit. To return nonperishable items you must notify Stargazer Perennials in writing within 14 days to receive a return code. Buyer shall pay all return fees. Product must be received in new condition. Customer will then receive store credit once merchandise is received by Stargazer Perennials. Cash or refund back to credit or debit cards is not given for returned merchandise.

Plants, seed potatoes, garlic, onions and other perishable items are not returnable. All sales are final on plants, garlic, onions, seed potatoes and other perishable items, therefore please shop carefully and email with questions before making a purchase.

After I have placed an order can I substitute for another plant or product?

Yes, we gladly process substitutions as long as you order has not shipped. Please email your substitution request to: info@staragzerperennials.com and include you invoice number, name and contact information. Because we do not store your credit card information on file, if your substitution increases the price of your order we will have to call you for additional information.

Does Stargazer Perennials substitute if the product is not available?

No, we never substitute products without first contacting you and providing you with the choice to either substitute or to receive a store credit for the item that is not able to be shipped. As gardeners, we understand that you took the time to find that perfect plant for your garden, and how disappointing it can be to receive something else. Occasionally plants are not able to be shipped because they do not meet our quality requirements, if this occurs we will contact you first, if time permits, to offer you a substitution choice.

How do I order gift certificates online?

We offer gift certificates in a variety of denominations on our website. You can find the Gift Certificate category here. Simply select the amount you wish to purchase and add it to your Shopping Cart. If you are having the certificate sent directly to your gift recipient please make sure the recipient's name and address
are in the "ship-to" area of the shopping cart as you check out. We ship gift certificates out within 24 hours of accepting and processing your order. We ship using USPS and do not charge for shipping gift certificates. If you need to next day a gift certificate please contact us to arrange for shipment and extra fees for shipping. If you would like to include a message, simply enter the message while in the Shopping Cart in the Special Instructions box and we will include it for you.

I received a gift certificate, can I transfer it to someone else?

Yes, our gift certificates are transferable and do not have an expiration date. Gift certificates cannot be redeemed for cash.

How do I use my gift certificate online?

Simply select the items you would like to purchase and add them to your Shopping Cart. During checkout you will be asked for a Coupon Code, enter the Code that is provided on your Gift Certificate. As you approach checkout, the Shopping cart will reflect the amount of the credit for your Gift Certificate. If you order is larger than the amount of your gift certificate, you will see a balance due and be asked to provide a credit card to complete the transaction.

Can I cancel my order ?

If you cancel your order with 24 hours of your order being placed via email, you have the choice of either a store credit for the full amount of your order to be used at a later time, or a full refund less 15% of the total dollar amount of your order, which covers credit card processing and bank transaction fees for which we are liable whether your order is shipped or not. Orders canceled after 24 hours will receive a store credit for the full amount of the order placed to be used at a later time. Store credits have no expiration date and cannot be redeemed for cash.  Thank you for your understanding and patronage.

When may I order?

We accept orders at anytime of the year. Please refer to our Shipping Information section which details Shop Organic Rose Nursery Onlinewhich products ship when. If you place an order for a plant outside of our normal shipping season, your plant(s) will be reserved for you and shipped at the beginning of the next shipping season.

Is there a minimum purchase requirement?

We do not have minimum purchase requirements. Our shipping fees are calculated on the total dollar cost of your order, so the more you order the lower your shipping cost is per item. Refer to our Shipping Information section for shipping fees.

How do I report damage that occurred during shipping?


  • We take great care to pack each plant individually and pack them securely in the shipping box. To process your claim and to quickly take care of your warranty issue we require your claim in writing not by voice mail.
  • If you discover plants that are damaged during shipping you must notify Stargazer Perennials by emailing to info@stargazerperennials.com within 48 hours of receiving the shipment.
  • Due to the requirements by FedEx for us to submit a claim, we cannot accept voice mail claims.
  • Photographs of damaged plant material are required when making a claim. You may email your photos to us along with a description of your concerns. It is our desire that you be pleased with your plants and with your experience with Stargazer Perennials.
  • Copy all correspondence to us at: info@stargazerperennials.com so that we may assist you as needed.
  • Warranty claims that are not received in writing by email within 48 hours and photos within 72 hours will not be honored.
  • If your order was not received in good condition and your have complied with our reporting policy, we will either reship your order or provide you with a credit to be used on our website or at our nursery. We do not refund cash for damaged or missing orders.
  • We are not responsible for plant loss or damage due to a ship to location which requires additional travel time in excess of 5 days Fedex, or requires additional carriers to transport material. It is the responsibility of the customer to notify Stargazer Perennials via email prior to shipping that additional carriers will be required, or if Fedex does not deliver to their physical address directly. Damage caused during shipping due to shipping delays will not be refunded in cash, but may qualify for a store credit to be issued at the discretion of Stargazer Perennials.
