BloomerangTM Lilac Origins:
This hardy reblooming lilac is the results of the talented horticulturists at Spring Meadow Nursery who have developed this plant selection from four different Lilac species (it's a hybrid of Syringa patula x macrophylla x meyeri x juliana). Bloomerang Lilac starts out early in the spring producing a proliferation of deep lilac hued buds that open to lilac flowers that turn pink with age. After a brief rest, Bloomerang resumes the show all summer long producing lovely, fragrant lilac blooms that will enhance any garden spot.
BloomerangTM Lilac Garden Uses and Care:
Bloomerang Lilac is a carefree garden plant requiring only minimal pruning right after the first spring bloom to promote a
fuller plant with more pronounced summer blooms. As with all lilacs, Bloomerang prefers adequate watering and well drained soil. Mildew resistant, you can plant Bloomerang Lilac in a part shade location although the color and scent of the blooms will not be as pronounced as when the shrub is grown in full sun. Deer resistant, Bloomerang is ideal for a variety of uses including: planted en masses to create a flowering hedge, as a specimen flowering shrub in a perennial border, in a large pot for a blooming patio plant or as an accent plant in a garden.
