How to Grow Aubrieta:
A new Aubrieta and part of the popular Axcent Series, this vibrant Rockcress produces pacific blue flowers with lemon yellow eyes, stunning! The compact, tidy foliage is bright green and very disease resistant. Unlike other Aubrieta, this new variety keeps blooming for weeks and weeks on end, and will put on a second show if you shear flowers once they are finished blooming. The key to growing Rockcress is to not over water them, which can cause the foliage to 'melt' together. Here a few tips to successfully growing Aubrieta Blue with Eye in the garden:
  1. Plant Rock Cress in well-drained soil in full sun.
  2. A rock garden plant, this hardy perennial does not like to sit in water, therefore planting on on a slight incline or on a slope area if possible.
  3. Once blooms are finished, shear back for shape and to stimulate new foliage growth.
  4. Let Aubrieta dry out in between watering.
  5. Fertilize in the spring and summer with a balanced slow-release fertilizer.

Mix Aubrieta Blue with Eye with other rock garden plants such as Delosperma, Thyme, Dianthus and Sedums to create a low maintenance floral explosion all summer long.

Other low growing flowering perennial plants to pair with Aubrieta include other Axcent varieties, Delosperma, and Dianthus.
